Kathleen Conover's life-long love of art started in the fertile art-environment of southern California's “School of Art”. Academic fine art studies started at San Diego State University, continued at the University of Washington, Seattle, and commenced with a Master of Arts, earned from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, where she now resides.
As a full time artist, Kathleen exhibits internationally, juries exhibitions, gives demonstrations, mentors artists, and is sought after for teaching creative and in-depth workshops. She has earned signature status in national and international organizations including American Watercolor Society (AWS-Dolphin Fellow), National Watercolor Society (NWS-Master Artist), the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA-Nautilus Fellow). Juried into over 100 national and international exhibitions, Kathleen has won many prestigious awards including the AWS Silver Medal of Honor, TWSA Best of Show Skyledge Award, CWS Best of Show, ISEA Best of Show Nautilus Award, and others. By painting in Antarctica in 2025, Kathleen completed a dream-goal of painting on all seven continents and continues to be inspired by her travels. |
